Oast House Brewery [Niagara on the Lake]

Just like our last trip to Niagara on the Lake (notl), we took a break from our winery visit to stop by at a Beer Brewery (see post here) and we decided to stop by Oast Hose Brewery (@OastHouseBeer) during our Sip & Sizzle trip (see post here).

Don't you just love the bright red exterior of this refurbished barn, for sure you won't miss it when passing by. Oast House used only locally sourced products by Niagara farmers for their beer. Two accomplished sommeliers Cian MacNeil and Kevin Somerville plus Mike Berlis, a winemaker and brewmaster have all had a taste if Niagara wine industry and in 2012 decided to pursue their passion for beer.

Love the old wine rack display

The 2 of us shared a flight of samplers of their 3 feature beer of the day (they switch all the time)

Saison
Hazy orange amber color with a fluffy white head, love the yeasty fruity and herbal flavor. It was crisp and refreshing, would be great for patio season.

The Barn Raiser
An American Style Pale Ale with a very nice white head and a citrusy hop aroma. A medium body brew with a very slight bitter finish.

Biere de Garde

Amber brown color with a very light head, it has a fruity, spicy and wheat aroma.

Simple reclaimed wood for the bar, love the simpleness of the space

Forgot to take a picture but they even have a ping pong table at the back.

Verdict :
Great Space, Great Vibe & Great Beer

Love that NOTL starts to have some craft brewery and can't wait for more.
Will definitely drop by next time I'm in the area
