Mercer Hall [Stratford - Brunch]

We drove to Stratford Ontario this past weekend for some Savour Stratford events and being only 2 hours away, I am surprise that I have never been. And our first stop is Mercer Hall (@MHResto) for brunch.

Love the spacious space with the bar at the front which have a french bistro fill to it while the dinning area at the back is a bit narrower which felt more intimate.

Bacon Caesar $11.50
Not overwhelming with bacon flavors and perfect balance of spiciness.

Block 3 Brewery Co. - Sugar Bush Ale $6.50
Haven't had their beer before and this is a brewery that I have been meaning to visit, so I was excited to finally try this craft beer. This English Brown Ale had a sweet finish from the local maple syrup which complimented the coffee and dark chocolate notes really well. Love it!!!

Colonel Collin's Fried Chicken & Waffle
(1piece $8.50/ 2piece $13/ 3piece $17)
~ 14 herbs & spices, Belgian Waffles, maple syrup, Mercer hot sauce
The chicken was incredibly moist and the batter have just the right amount of crunch to it. Wish there were more maple syrup and hot sauce, the sprinkle on the side just doesn't make it.

Pastrami Sandwich $11
~ housed-smoked Ontario Beef Brisket, toasted rye, grainy mustard, Mercer dills
The brisket was delicious and love the extra mustard, my only complain was the bread crust which was a tad tough.

Sides of House Pickles $2.00
Love the cute assortment of pickles but thought the pickled fingerling potatoes was a bit weird.

 Banana Bread $8.00
Warm banana bread with caramelized banana with creamy ice cream

Verdict :
Love the food, the drink, the service and the space
And as per Ben, this may be one of his fave fried chicken from now on.
Will definitely love to come back if I'm ever in Stratford, maybe for dinner.
Love have the have Brunch 7 days a week.
